1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Cheq mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Cheq provides AI-powered text analysis tools including:

• AI Detection: Analyzing text to determine if it was generated by artificial intelligence
• Humanization: Transforming AI-generated text to sound more natural and human-like
• Paraphrasing: Rewriting text while preserving its original meaning

3. User Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free and Premium Features

The App offers both free and premium (subscription-based) features. Premium features require an active subscription.

4.2 Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

4.3 Free Trial

If offered, free trial periods automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for academic dishonesty or plagiarism where prohibited by institutional policies
• Circumvent any access controls or usage limitations

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the text you submit, and we retain ownership of the processed output methodology.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• AI detection results will be 100% accurate
• Humanized text will pass all AI detection tools
• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Third-Party AI Detection Services

Cheq displays logos and names of third-party AI detection services (such as GPTZero, Turnitin, Originality.ai, Sapling, CopyLeaks, and others) for informational purposes only. Cheq does not connect to, integrate with, or use these third-party services directly.

Our AI detection and humanization features use proprietary analysis models that are designed to predict and simulate how major AI detectors would evaluate your text. The scores and results shown in the App are estimates based on our own engine and may differ from the actual results provided by these third-party services.

All third-party names, logos, and trademarks mentioned in the App are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or partnership with Cheq.
